In the coming days, the Minecraft community will have the opportunity to test the game for the first time on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on both Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
The announcement was made via the Xbox team on Twitter, along with the title of the upcoming Minecraft event.
The game, which launched in 2013, has since expanded into more than a dozen platforms including smartphones, tablets, PCs and consoles.
It is currently available on Steam for $59.99, while the Windows version will cost $59 for those that have opted for that platform.
Minecraft is available on the Windows Store for free, with an unlockable premium version available for $39.99.
The Xbox team said that the next Minecraft event will be on August 27.
