MSP: $2.2 billion to help with flooding damage from Hurricane Katrina

The Scottish Government is giving the public more information about flood damage to help assess how much money can be raised for the flood relief.

The Government is calling on the public to contribute $2,216,000 to a Flood Relief Fund, which has been set up by MSPs.

The fund will help people affected by flooding, or those who wish to help, pay their bills and help with repair costs.

The MSP is calling for people to contact their local MP and tell them how much they would like to contribute.

The Fund will be managed by the Government, the First Minister, the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, the Deputy First Minister and a representative from the Scottish Government.

Anyone who wishes to contribute is encouraged to email them at: [email protected] and include the names and contact details of all their local MSP.
