Sony has “notified” the PS3 team about a “deleted” batch of PS4 games, Sony Online Entertainment said in a blog post today.
“Sony Online Entertainment has not informed the PS Vita team about this issue,” the blog said.
“This is a temporary issue and is being investigated by Sony.
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this.”
The PS4 and PS Vita have not been officially certified for sale.
The blog post also mentioned a potential fix to the problem.
“We’re working on a fix that will bring the PSX/PSX+ back to normal,” it said.
The PSX is a device for connecting multiple PS4 consoles together.
The PlayStation 4 was recently re-certified for sale by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the body that regulates the games industry.
However, the company is not yet ready to put out official word on what happened with those games.
“As we understand it, the games are not working correctly,” the PSN blog post said.
It added that Sony is working with its “customers to quickly resolve this issue.”
